Leaders East Fife returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory at Dumbarton.

The Fifers scored all three of their goals from set pieces and Greg McDonald headed them in front after 20 minutes before Jonathan Smart struck twice with a goal in each half.

Visiting goalkeeper Craig Wight had little to do apart from one fine save to deny Dumbarton's Andy Geggan late in the game.

Wight's Dumbarton counterpart Peter Shaw, meanwhile, was kept busy throughout.

It was Ryan Blackadder who supplied the crosses for the visitors' two first-half goals, first picking out McDonald from a free-kick before setting up Smart from a teasing corner.

Smart completed the scoring when he rose well to meet Douglas Cameron's inswinging corner in the last minute.
