Promotion rivals Brechin and Alloa had to settle for a share of the spoils in a goalless draw although both sides had opportunities to clinch maximum points.
Visiting Alloa went close after only six minutes when Scott Agnew crossed for Adam Coakley to head against the post.
They went close again seven minutes later as an Agnew drive was brilliantly tipped over by home goalkeeper Craig Nelson.
Brechin threatened for the first time three minutes before the interval, but Ian Diack's shot went just wide of the target.
Brechin improved in the second half and Charlie King volleyed over before Kevin Byers had a shot saved.
Alloa made a late push for a winner, and substitute Joe Andrew almost won all three points when he broke on the left and his shot was well saved by keeper Nelson.
