Peterhead kept their faint play-off hopes alive with a convincing 4-1 win over Ayr.
The home team stormed in front after 15 minutes when a long punt upfield by 18-year-old stand-in goalkeeper Paul Leask went through the Ayr defence and on-loan David Ross fired high into the net.
Peterhead extended their lead in the 24th minute as Stuart Anderson scored with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Ross struck again just after the restart, hitting a tremendous shot that went in off a post.
He then set up Martin Bavidge for an easy tap-in for Peterhead's fourth after 63 minutes, before Ayr pulled a consolation goal back from substitute David Lowing's close-range finish.
