Morton got the result they needed to ensure they play in Division One next season with a 3-0 win over Partick.
The visitors went ahead as early as the 14th minute when Brian Wake received a headed pass in the area 12 yards out straight in front of the goal, and the forward hammered the ball into the net.
Right on half-time Morton bagged a second. High balls into the box had caused Thistle problems and when one was cleared to Kevin Finlayson all on his own 40 yards out he rifled it into the right-hand side of goal.
And Wake sealed the win after 55 minutes as the home defence stood and watched Ian Russell thread a pass to him and he stuck it in at the right post.
